Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Comparative Linguistics By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) centers on examining the similarities and differences in linguistic properties among languages and language varieties. Research in this field is dedicated to the comparative analysis of various linguistic aspects, including phonology, morphology, syntax, lexis, and semantics, along with their practical applications. 

This program equips students with the analytical skills necessary to conduct in-depth studies and contribute to the understanding of linguistic diversity and its implications.
