Doctor of Philosophy in Aquaculture Biotechnology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an advanced study focused on leveraging biotechnological techniques to optimize the management and production of aquatic species. Addressing the growing demand for seafood alongside dwindling natural resources, this program promotes innovative biotechnological solutions for sustainable aquaculture practices.

PhD candidates will undertake research aimed at developing effective protocols, technologies, and new biotechnological products using aquaculture resources. The program highlights the importance of modern biotechnology as a tool to enhance traditional methods, ultimately aiming to increase both the yield and quality of cultured aquatic animals and plants.

Entry Requirements
