Doctor of Philosophy in Aquatic Animal Health By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an advanced exploration of multidisciplinary studies in aquatic animal medicine, including fish, crustaceans, amphibians, and marine mammals. This program emphasizes a comprehensive approach to understanding aquatic systems, aquaculture management, and the ecology and habitats of these animals, along with the relationships between pathogens and the environment in disease outbreaks.

PhD candidates will focus on developing new sustainable health management practices, advanced diagnostic techniques, and effective treatment and prevention strategies for disease outbreaks in aquaculture, contributing significantly to the field of aquatic animal health.

Entry Requirements

• A Master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the UPM Senate
