Doctor of Philosophy in Bacteriology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an in-depth exploration of pathogenic bacteria, focusing on their characteristics, impact, and role as causes of diseases in animals and humans. This advanced program includes a multidisciplinary framework involving epidemiology, pathogenicity, pathogenesis, and strategies for diagnosis, control, and prevention of bacterial infections.

PhD candidates will conduct research on bacterial diseases with significant economic implications for the veterinary industry and critical relevance to public health. They will employ techniques such as molecular biology, biotechnology, genomics, and proteomics to further their studies, preparing them for significant contributions to the field of bacteriology.
