Doctor of Philosophy in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the integration of computer science and information technology in the analysis and interpretation of genomic and proteomic data.

This program emphasizes systems biology, examining organisms as interconnected living systems that include all biological components, from molecules to cellular interactions. Students employ multidisciplinary approaches, including bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics, and cell biochemistry, to unravel gene and protein networks, cellular signaling, and metabolic pathways. Graduates will be prepared to make significant contributions to advancements in the fields of biology and medicine.
