Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Networks By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an in-depth exploration of advanced research topics in computer networks. PhD candidates will engage with a diverse array of subjects, including network design, management, software-defined networking, and security. The program also investigates mobile and wireless networks, featuring ad hoc networks such as wireless sensor networks, vehicular ad hoc networks, and body area networks.

Further research opportunities include internetworking, satellite and optical communications, Internet of Things (IoT) networks, machine-to-machine (M2M) communication, quantum computing, and blockchain technology. Candidates will also focus on real-time systems and performance modeling of communication networks, preparing them to contribute significantly to advancements in networking technology and solutions.
