Doctor of Philosophy in Discourse Studies By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an in-depth exploration of spoken, written, and multimodal forms of communication. This program investigates the relationships between linguistic elements and examines the interplay between language, agency, and social contexts. 

Research methodologies include various approaches such as linguistics, critical linguistics, critical discourse analysis, genre analysis, and ethnomethodology. 

Through comprehensive research, students will gain advanced insights into discourse dynamics, equipping them to contribute significantly to the field and its applications in diverse social contexts.
