Doctor of Philosophy in Economics By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is designed to provide students with structured training in economic theory and quantitative methods to enhance their professional capabilities. 
Through a flexible and innovative approach, the program equips students with essential skills for academic research and prepares them for rewarding careers. 

Students will gain in-depth knowledge and research expertise in one of five specialization areas: Financial Economics, Development Economics, Industrial Economics, International Economics, and Resource and Environmental Economics.

Entry Requirements 

• A Master's Degree by research in a field related to the field of PhD applied for.
