Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Power Engineering By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an in-depth exploration of various areas, including industrial drive and control, power system analysis, power electronics, power generation and operation, protective relaying, high voltage engineering, lightning protection, electromagnetic compatibility, power system stability, power converters, electrical machine design, power system modeling and identification, and power system control.

Students will engage in comprehensive research that addresses complex challenges within the electrical power engineering field, preparing them to develop innovative solutions and contribute to advancements in the energy sector.

Entry Requirements

• A master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the UPM Senate
