Doctor of Philosophy in English Language by Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on an in-depth exploration of English language and linguistics, with a strong emphasis on applied linguistics as an interdisciplinary field. 

The program addresses critical issues related to language and its connections with education, psychology, sociology, computer science, and communication. Students will engage in the investigation and identification of challenges and solutions pertaining to language and language learning.

 This program prepares students with advanced research skills and knowledge necessary to make significant contributions to the field of English language studies.
