Doctor of Philosophy in Entomology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is designed to cultivate advanced knowledge and skills for addressing insect-related challenges in a professional setting. The program encompasses a diverse range of research areas, including biological control, insect management, insect ecology and systematics, insect physiology, biochemistry, toxicology, biomolecules, and pesticide application techniques.

By engaging in rigorous research and applying theoretical knowledge, students will develop the expertise required to tackle complex issues in entomology and contribute innovative solutions to agricultural and environmental problems.

Entry Requirements 

• A master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the UPM Senate.
