Doctor of Philosophy in Family Ecology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) explores the relationship between individuals and families within their bio-psycho-socio-physical and cultural environments. The program utilizes developmental, interactional, and ecological system orientation paradigms to provide a holistic, multidisciplinary understanding of family issues and challenges.

Through rigorous research and analysis, students will investigate the complexities of family dynamics and the various factors influencing well-being, preparing them to address contemporary challenges in family ecology and contribute to effective solutions for families and communities.

Entry Requirements 

• A master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the UPM Senate.
