Doctor of Philosophy in Fisheries Science By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) aims to develop advanced expertise in fisheries management and research. This program allows students to investigate critical areas such as fish reproductive biology, food habits, biodiversity, physiology, and fishery technology, with a focus on population dynamics, resource assessment, and sustainable management. 

The research scope within fisheries sciences is broad, supporting both academic pursuits and practical applications for resource managers. This program empowers students to contribute to the understanding and conservation of fishery resources, ensuring they can be effectively sustained for future generations.

• A Master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the UPM Senate
