Doctor of Philosophy in Food Engineering By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the advanced application of process engineering principles in food processing operations. The program addresses key areas such as the engineering properties of food, process design, modeling, simulation, and control, along with the cleaning and maintenance of food processing plants.
Students will conduct research on designing cost-effective food processing machinery, developing innovative food products and value-added offerings, and exploring new technologies related to both thermal and non-thermal food processing methods. Through comprehensive research efforts, students will be equipped to tackle contemporary challenges in food engineering and make significant contributions to the advancement of the food industry.
