Doctor of Philosophy in Food Safety By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is dedicated to advanced study in the complexities and challenges of food safety within the food production network. This program prepares students to become experts capable of addressing the risks associated with foodborne hazards, emphasizing the necessity for higher technical expertise in monitoring and evaluating critical safety parameters, including microbiological, chemical, and physical factors.
Candidates will engage in in-depth research on pathogen-related issues, chemical hazards, and GMOs, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of food safety challenges. The program also incorporates the latest advancements in food processing and applies HACCP quality management and risk assessment methodologies, empowering graduates to contribute significantly to the field of food safety.
