Doctor of Philosophy in Food Security and Climate Changes By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is designed for advanced research in the interconnected realms of food systems, food security, and climate change. This program focuses on all stages of the food chain, including production, processing, distribution, and consumption, while considering their roles in mitigating climate change.
Candidates will engage in in-depth research on topics such as innovation development, the effects of pollution and climate change, ecosystem management, and sustainable agricultural practices. Additionally, the curriculum covers the management of renewable and non-renewable resources and examines the ethical and legal dimensions of environmental stewardship, empowering graduates to address pressing challenges in food security and environmental sustainability.
