Doctor of Philosophy in Geotechnical and Geological Engineering By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the advanced study of the engineering aspects and behavior of soils and rocks, as well as their applications in engineering structures.

Research topics encompass foundation design, slope stability, ground improvement, and the fundamental engineering properties of soil and rock. The program also addresses geo-environmental issues, including soil erosion, sanitary landfills, contaminated ground, and toxic waste disposal. Through in-depth research, students will gain the expertise necessary to tackle complex challenges in geotechnical and geological engineering, contributing valuable insights and solutions to the field.

Entry Requirements

• A master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the UPM Senate
