Doctor of Philosophy in Health and Rehabilitation By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an in-depth examination of the field of rehabilitation, focusing on the scientific principles that underpin effective intervention strategies. This program prepares students to conduct advanced research that contributes to teaching, research, and specialized services across various aspects of rehabilitation.
PhD candidates will delve into the fundamental areas of health and rehabilitation, including Rehabilitation Medicine, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Speech Therapy. In addition, they will explore allied fields such as Rehabilitation Nursing, Rehabilitation Psychology, Social Work, Orthotics and Prosthetics, Podiatry, Sports Rehabilitation, and General Rehabilitation Practices. Through their research endeavors, graduates will become leaders in the field, advancing both theoretical knowledge and practical applications to enhance patient outcomes in rehabilitation settings.
