Doctor of Philosophy in Horticulture By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on advanced studies in diverse areas such as pomology, vegetable crops, turf, floriculture, ornamental and landscape horticulture, as well as sustainable and organic horticulture.

The program explores research topics including crop biotechnology, seed science and technology, propagation, growth and development, crop physiology, mineral nutrition, crop production, and post-harvest physiology. 

Through rigorous research and practical application, students will develop expertise and skills essential for advancing the field of horticulture, fostering innovation and sustainability within the industry.

Entry Requirements 

• A master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the UPM Senate.
