Doctor of Philosophy in Immunopharmacology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) provides an in-depth exploration of the interplay between immunology and pharmacology. This program focuses on the pharmacological aspects of immune mediators and cells, analyzing how their dysfunction can lead to pathological conditions and how these systems can be effectively manipulated for therapeutic purposes.
PhD candidates will conduct advanced research on immunopharmacological interventions, including the use of immunostimulant and immunosuppressant agents. The program encompasses a comprehensive study of related disciplines such as toxicology, pathology, cell biology, molecular biology, and organic/medicinal chemistry. Graduates will be poised to advance the field by producing innovative treatments and contributing to the understanding of immune system dysfunction in chronic diseases, aligning with the growing interest and research in immunopharmacology.
