Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Design Studies By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on meeting societal and environmental needs through the sustainable and functional design of artifacts that leverage cutting-edge technology and high aesthetic value.

The program emphasizes research in the application of design across various disciplines, utilizing IT/ICT, visualization and design media, Computer-Aided Industrial Design (CAID), model making, and prototyping. 

Students will delve into product design and creation that supports sustainable development, preparing them to make significant contributions to the field of industrial design through innovative and responsible solutions.

Entry Requirements 

• A Master's degree by research in a relevant field.
