Doctor of Philosophy in Intelligent Systems By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an advanced exploration of the theories, design, and application of intelligent computing. This PhD program aims to establish innovative techniques for converting large datasets into meaningful information and knowledge, with a focus on genetic algorithms, swarm optimization methods, and ant colony optimization.
PhD candidates will research topics such as agent semantics, ontology, and multi-agent systems, as well as investigate mobile computation and social networking dynamics. The curriculum includes a strong emphasis on intelligent content analysis through text mining, semantics, and natural language processing, aimed at developing efficient algorithms for text processing. Additionally, the program addresses the application of cutting-edge mathematical and computer science techniques to contemporary challenges in the life sciences, particularly in the context of the post-genomic era.
