Doctor of Philosophy in Literary and Cultural Studies By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an in-depth exploration of the scholarly interpretation of literary and cultural texts, contemporary social phenomena, popular culture, and their historical contexts. 

The program enables students to engage in research using a variety of approaches, such as reader-response, textual analysis, and comparative analysis, as well as theories related to cultural production. 

Through rigorous academic inquiry, students will develop critical insights into the intricate relationships between literature, culture, and society, preparing them to make significant contributions to the field of literary and cultural studies.
