Doctor of Philosophy in Malay Language By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on an in-depth study of Malay language and linguistics, with a strong emphasis on applied linguistics. This program explores various subfields, including language planning and development, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, semantics, cognition, contrastive and error analysis, as well as contemporary issues in Malay language and linguistics. 

Students will engage in rigorous research methodologies within these areas, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to make significant contributions to the field of Malay linguistics.

Entry Requirements 

• A Master's degree with a thesis in a related field.
