Doctor of Philosophy in Mariculture By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) aims to develop advanced expertise in the cultivation of marine organisms. This program explores innovative techniques in rearing species like seaweeds, molluscs, crustaceans, and fish in controlled environments. Emphasis is placed on modern mariculture practices that enhance efficiency, reduce chemical use, and promote sustainable production. 

Research topics include the seeding of high-value marine species, nursing practices, latest livestock farming technologies, and biosecurity challenges. Graduates will be equipped to address current issues in the field and elevate the aquaculture sector's value.

Entry Requirements

• A Master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the UPM Senate
