Doctor of Philosophy in Mass Communication By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) encompasses a comprehensive exploration of issues and challenges in mass communication at both national and international levels.The program focuses on current research related to mass communication, including laws and policies, market competition, media content, media ownership, and the influence and effects of media. 

Emphasis is also placed on the direction and flow of international media content, international mass communication systems, key players in the global media landscape, media convergence, and the role of mass media in promoting global peace. 

Through rigorous research, students will develop the critical insights and skills necessary to contribute significantly to the field of mass communication.

Entry Requirements 

• A Master's degree with a thesis in a related field.
