Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) explores the intricate relationship between material structure and properties, integrating knowledge from physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering.

This program focuses on the design, synthesis, processing, and characterization of diverse materials, including advanced materials, biopolymers, magnetic materials, and nanomaterials. Emphasizing research at nano, micro, and macro scales, it aims to foster innovations addressing challenges in energy, the environment, and manufacturing.

Key areas of study include the dielectric properties of titanates and ferrites, with the goal of developing materials for multilayer capacitors and capacitive sensors. Graduates will be equipped to make significant contributions to the field of materials science.
