Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics Education By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers a comprehensive exploration of theories and practices aimed at enhancing mathematical understanding in educational settings. This program delves into various educational approaches, including constructivism, mastery learning, cooperative and collaborative learning, contextual learning, and problem-based learning.
PhD candidates will engage with advanced pedagogical perspectives such as cognitive-guided instruction, the zone of proximal development, and the influence of values and beliefs in mathematics education.
