Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Gerontology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is dedicated to in-depth research in age-related illnesses and disabilities. This program seeks to refine understanding of screening and diagnostic processes, as well as to create effective intervention treatments and care solutions for disorders such as stroke, cognitive impairment, and frailty. 

A key focus is placed on nutrition and exercise as vital preventive and rehabilitation strategies, empowering older adults to achieve successful aging. Graduates will be equipped to contribute to significant advancements in the field of medical gerontology and the management of age-related health issues.

Entry Requirements

• A Master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the UPM Senate
