Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Biotechnology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an in-depth examination of the molecular mechanisms underlying technological advancements in biology and medicine. This interdisciplinary program integrates insights from multiple fields, including molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, genetics, and cell biology.

PhD candidates will engage in research using molecular biotechnology tools to develop innovative drugs, vaccines, therapies, and diagnostic tests that contribute to improved health outcomes for humans and animals. Furthermore, this field applies to agriculture, veterinary sciences, aquaculture, forestry, and food processing.
