Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an advanced exploration of the nervous system, examining key areas such as neuronal development, function, and the underlying mechanisms of neurological disorders. As a rapidly evolving field within medicine, neuroscience integrates various disciplines, including biophysics, psychology, neuroinformatics, genetics, molecular and cell biology, neuropharmacology, toxicology, neuroelectrophysiology, and neuromedicine.

PhD candidates will conduct rigorous research aimed at unraveling the complexities of the nervous system, contributing to a greater understanding of neurological phenomena and disorders. Graduates will be well-equipped to innovate and advance the field of neuroscience, addressing critical health issues related to the nervous system.

Entry Requirements

• A Master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the UPM Senate
