Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an in-depth exploration of nursing research, preparing students to design and execute scientific studies that enhance their theoretical understanding of nursing practice and healthcare delivery. The central aim of this research is to improve the health outcomes of various populations, clients, and their families.

Students will engage in rigorous research aligned with four core themes representing the expertise of the academic staff in the UPM Nursing Unit: critical care nursing, community health nursing, pediatric nursing, and medical-surgical nursing. The program anchors itself in evidence-based principles to bolster nursing knowledge and skills, serving as a crucial foundation for advancing nursing research.

Entry Requirements

• A Master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the UPM Senate
