Doctor of Philosophy in Nutrition By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an advanced exploration of nutrition research for various animal types, including farm, companion, laboratory, wildlife, and zoo animals, with a strong focus on health. The program emphasizes the development of innovative feeding and management systems aimed at enhancing growth efficiency and health, improving the health attributes of animal products, and ensuring environmental sustainability.
PhD candidates will investigate a range of topics from applied feeding challenges to fundamental scientific inquiries regarding animal growth, production, and health. Research areas include the influence of nutrition on health, immunity, digestive and metabolic disorders, reproductive performance, and the management of bacterial and parasitic diseases, organic toxins, and nutritional stress.
