Doctor of Philosophy in Pest Management By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is designed for students pursuing advanced knowledge in pest management science and technology. The program emphasizes interdisciplinary research on plant diseases, insects, weeds, and pests, focusing on developing sustainable management systems that are both ecologically sound and economically viable.

Students will gain expertise in applying pest management concepts, accurately identifying pests and their damage symptoms, and understanding the economic factors influencing pest management decisions. 

Through rigorous research and practical experience, graduates will be equipped to address complex challenges in pest management and contribute to sustainable agricultural practices.

Entry Requirements 

• A master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the UPM Senate.
