Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an in-depth exploration of public health challenges, emphasizing a multidisciplinary methodology that combines the latest public health knowledge with critical thinking, ethical professionalism, and collaborative practices.
PhD candidates will develop a comprehensive understanding of theoretical and applied topics within public health, gaining high-level analytical and evaluative skills necessary for professional application. The program prepares graduates to tackle complex public health problems independently and rigorously. Students will study factors influencing the causation and presence of diseases in communities, focusing on behavior, organization, community health issues, and effective prevention and control strategies.
