Doctor of Philosophy in Social Gerontology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is dedicated to advanced exploration of the social, economic, cultural, and political dimensions of aging. This program utilizes a multidisciplinary framework to analyze the psycho-social processes associated with aging and the broader socio-economic implications for older individuals, their families, and society as a whole. 

Students will engage in rigorous research that informs social policy, legislation, and programs addressing the complexities of aging populations, including long-term care, social support systems, intergenerational dynamics, and issues of social inequality. Graduates will be equipped to make significant contributions to the fields of gerontology and social policy development.

Entry Requirements 

• A Master Degree in related field to the PhD applied
