Doctor of Philosophy in Surgery By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an advanced exploration of surgical practices aimed at promoting animal health and well-being through an in-depth understanding of surgical management and the prevention of associated issues. This program focuses on the application of surgical techniques in animal models to investigate disease pathogenesis, treatment options, and preventive measures.

Research efforts emphasize developing minimally invasive diagnostic techniques, tissue reconstruction, and replacement strategies, as well as the use of novel biomaterials and surgical implants.
