Doctor of Philosophy in Tourism By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) aims to train professionals and scholars seeking advanced expertise in the tourism sector. The program explores critical areas related to tourism development, including development policies, demand and supply analysis, tourism product development, destination marketing, tourist behavior, and human resource planning.
 It also investigates operations management, service quality, and development studies pertaining to tourist attractions and transportation services. 

Through comprehensive research, this program enhances understanding of tourism industry management with an emphasis on economic, social, and environmental factors, contributing to sustainable development within the tourism sector and the national economy at large.

Entry Requirements 

• A Master's Degree by research in a field related to the field of PhD applied for.
