Doctor of Philosophy in Tropical Rainforest Ecosystem Services By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an advanced exploration of sustainable ecosystem management in tropical rainforest environments. PhD candidates will engage in research on critical topics such as forest carbon sequestration, sustainable production of bio-resources, forest biodiversity, and stand dynamics.

The program emphasizes the importance of indigenous plants in urban settings, the provision of ecotourism services, and the valuation of bio-resources. Candidates will also investigate the economics of bio-based products and sustainable business practices, focusing on achieving a balance between natural resource utilization and enhancing the quality of life for communities.
