Doctor of Philosophy in Vaccine and Therapeutics By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an advanced exploration of the development of vaccines and immunotherapeutic products, focusing on innovative research and methodologies. This program prepares students to devise and implement techniques for creating new products and improving application systems.
PhD candidates will utilize established methods spanning various disciplines, including virology, microbiology, immunology, serology, cell biology, molecular biology, cancer biology, fermentation technology, and nanobiotechnology. The research will concentrate on addressing infectious diseases caused by viruses, bacteria, and parasites, as well as non-infectious diseases such as cancer and metabolic disorders.
The program aims to enhance students' expertise in these critical areas, preparing them for significant contributions in vaccine and therapeutics research across multiple animal species, including vertebrates, avians, and aquatic organisms.
