Doctor of Philosophy in Wildlife Ecology and Management By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) offers an advanced study of the vital role wildlife management plays in conserving and sustainably managing forest biodiversity. PhD candidates will explore the implications of habitat requirements and interdependencies of wildlife on forest ecosystem management plans.
The program emphasizes the examination of microclimate and microhabitat changes, along with detailed research in related sub-fields such as in-situ and ex-situ wildlife management techniques, wildlife-habitat interactions, breeding and survivorship, behaviors, diseases, diversity, population dynamics, ecological interactions, human-wildlife conflicts, and wildlife sampling techniques.
