Master in Wildlife Ecology and Management By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) emphasizes the critical role of wildlife management in the conservation and sustainable management of forest biodiversity. The program explores how forest ecosystem management is influenced by understanding wildlife habitat requirements and interdependencies.
Students will examine factors such as microclimate and microhabitat changes while engaging in related sub-fields, including in-situ and ex-situ wildlife management techniques, wildlife-habitat relationships, breeding and survivorship, behaviors, diseases, diversity, population dynamics, ecological interactions, human-wildlife conflicts, and wildlife sampling methods. This comprehensive curriculum equips graduates with the skills necessary to contribute effectively to wildlife conservation and management efforts.
• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
