Master of Agricultural Mechanisation and Automation By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) emphasizes research on agricultural mechanisation systems and models within the agriculture and plantation sectors. The program focuses on the design and application of automation technologies, including computers, controllers, sensors, remote sensing, GIS, GPS, and mechatronics in agricultural industries.
Key topics include the advanced design and development of machinery such as bioproduction robots, harvesters, planters, and chemical sprayers for agricultural and plantation operations. Research also explores the impact of automated systems and controllers in bioproduction and greenhouse environments.
Students will delve into machine vision systems, autonomous devices, control algorithms, soil mapping and yield technologies, and smart farming applications.
