Master of Agricultural Waste Engineering By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) aims to enhance students' research skills through the application of scientific knowledge and engineering technology focused on the efficient management of agricultural waste.
Research will emphasize minimizing the adverse impacts of agricultural wastes on the environment, groundwater, and public health, while exploring innovative uses of agricultural waste as by-products, raw materials for new products, or bio-sources for energy production. The program's primary objective is to achieve integrated local recycling and reuse of agricultural waste for environmental protection, energy development, fertilizer production, and water conservation.
Additionally, this field of study encompasses wastewater treatment and disposal, water pollution control, water recycling technologies, water quality assessment, air quality control, and solid waste management. Graduates are expected to contribute to economic and social benefits while promoting environmentally friendly technologies and systems.
• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
