Master of Arts in Discourse Studies By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the investigation of spoken, written, and multimodal forms of communication. The program examines the relationships between elements of language and explores how language interacts with agency and social contexts. 

Research in this field employs various approaches, including methods in linguistics and critical linguistics, critical discourse analysis, genre analysis, and ethnomethodology. 

Through rigorous research, students will develop a comprehensive understanding of discourse dynamics and their implications in diverse social settings.

Entry Requirements 

• A Bachelor's degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent.
