Master of Automotive Engineering By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) encompasses both basic and applied research in the development and design of automotive technologies, systems, and components.
The program includes a focus on fuel storage systems, such as fiber composite tanks and carbon-based absorption systems, as well as flexible tank designs. Students will delve into automotive control systems, emphasizing the design, development, and fabrication of electronic-based engine control systems, including smart electronic control units, diagnostic kit development, and combustion control parameters.
Additionally, the program covers structural design and vehicle integration, focusing on body structure design, crash analysis, stress and fatigue assessment, ergonomic design, and composite materials. Research in combustion and pollution focuses on pollution control systems and energy-efficient fuel combustion technologies. Through rigorous study, graduates will be prepared to innovate and address contemporary challenges in the automotive engineering field.
