Master of Chemical Engineering By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the fundamental principles of chemical engineering. The program involves research in the design, control, operation, optimization, and kinetics of chemical processes.

Key topics include process integration, process safety, plant management, and the application of advanced computational engineering. Students will exploit and integrate fundamental science and engineering principles to develop novel, sustainable, renewable, and biodegradable products. 

The program covers various chemical and process industries, including petrochemicals, oil and gas production, mineral processing, advanced materials, food processing, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and bioproducts. Graduates will be equipped to address contemporary challenges in the chemical engineering field.

Entry Requirements 

• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
