Master of Materials Engineering By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) emphasizes the application of materials engineering principles for the design and development of materials suited for industrial applications.
The program investigates the chemical, physical, and mechanical properties of various materials, including polymers, metals, ceramics, composites, and emerging materials. Additionally, students will explore advanced materials developed through nanotechnology, as well as topics such as material synthesis and characterization, tribology, surface science, catalysis, failure design, forensic materials engineering, and new processing technologies. This comprehensive study prepares students for future applications in diverse fields such as aerospace, automotive, electronics, coatings, sensors, actuators, drug delivery, metallurgy, crystallography, metallography, and drilling fluids.
• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
