Master of Science in Agronomy By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on enhancing crop husbandry practices to improve soil utilization and increase the productivity of food and fiber crops. The program covers essential topics such as plant structure and taxonomy, genetics and plant breeding, plant physiology, cropping systems, weed science, and seed technology.
Research areas include cell structure and biology, genomics, physiology, weed control, and the breeding of economic crops. Students benefit from relevant academic courses, experienced faculty, and access to well-equipped laboratories and field facilities.
