Master of Science in Animal Physiology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on a comprehensive investigation of molecular, behavioral, nutritional, neuronal, and stress physiology. Research in this field aims to enhance understanding of organ and organ system functions, morphological adaptations, and responses to stimuli and environmental factors, with particular emphasis on metabolism, regulatory control, and metabolomics, nutrigenomics, and lipidomics.
Candidates will explore metabolic and biochemical pathways crucial for bioenergetics and homeostatic regulation, as well as ligand-receptor interactions in the context of natural products research and both communicable and non-communicable diseases using animal models. At the cellular level, the program covers research on cellular organization, membrane properties, communication, signal transduction, and the regulation of cell survival, apoptosis, and neoplasia, preparing students to contribute significantly to the field of animal physiology.
• A Bachelor's degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with a minimum CGPA of 2.75
